Charlotte NC - Great Grapes Wine and Music Festival - Thistle Meadow Winery

Here are some photos taken during the 2004 Great Grapes Wine and Music Festival in Charlotte, NC, held on October 9th and 10th. The weather was outstanding, and the people and the live music were terrific. We would like to thank the many volunteers who helped man our booth this year. Our day at Symphony Park at South Park would not have been a success without you!

	Here is a photo of our booth in the opening hours of the Great Grapes Wine and Music Festival held in Charlotte, NC on October 9-10, 2004. 15 wineries participated in this year's festival.

	The festival offered a variety of great live music at the outdoor amphitheater. Lots of experienced festival participants brought their lawn chairs to soak up the sun, wine, and music.

	Charlotteans especially enjoyed the "big" red wines offered by John Burgiss (left) and Scott (right).

	In this photo, Candy Porter is explaining the different sweet and dessert wines to some festival participants. Candy's sister, Joy, looks on.

	Sid Proctor (left) hands a tasting sheet to a festival goer. With 35 wines to choose from, it's difficult to navigate our tent without a menu! Lots of food and craft vendors were also in attendance at the festival.

	Hugo Baggio, our French winemaking intern, prepares to pour a sample of Pinot Grigio. This wine won a Gold Medal at the 2004 Dixie Classic Fair, which hosts the Mid-Atlantic Southeastern Wine Competition. See this year's winners.

	Margie Jacky of Greensboro chills a bottle of wine for a festival customer. We couldn't have made it through the weekend without this gizmo, which chills a bottle of wine to ice cold in about 5-6 minutes.

	Orders were filled quickly with the aid of the new order forms, which debuted at this year's festival. Hugo, at left, assists a customer in filling out her order form.
